DFW Festivals You CAN’T MISS This Spring

The weather is warming up in DFW and that means there are tons of fun events being planned. I’m stoked about this time of year because it seems like every week there is something new to get into! Here are the events that I’m most excited about! Hopefully I can make it to each of them and see you there too!!

I am wildly excited about attending my first film festival – and what better place to do it than Dallas? There will be red carpets, a few celebs, and of course more movies than even I can handle! It all starts tonight, so make sure you are following me on Snapchat (@gingermarieblog) to keep up with the happenings!

PS…I already previewed one movie, Sunny In The Dark, and it was phenomenal! Its about this chick that is living in this guy’s ceiling and he has no idea! She is madly in love with him, and he has no idea who she is. You feel bad for her, even though deep down you know she is crazy as heck for living in this guy’s ceiling! Ugh!! I don’t want to give away too many spoilers, but it was a GREAT movie!  The perfect way for me to kickoff DIFF week!!

Wanderlust

Do you love yoga? Do you love meditating? Do you love running? Well if you said yes to any of those, this is the event for you! Grab all of your hippie friends and head to Wanderlust this weekend! They are kicking it off with a 5k, which you can do at your own pace. Then, a killer yoga session, followed by some much needed meditation time! After that, you can hang out and do tons of crafts and try some of their organic noms! They will have workshops you can sign up for as well. Find out more on the event HERE!

Austin Food & Wine Festival

As you all know, I’m a huge foodie. If you’re close to me, you know I have a true appreciation for wine as well! So what better festival could there be to get my fix than the Austin Food & Wine Festival? I’m beyond excited for this festival and I’m crossing my fingers that I can still make it. (I missed about a week of work this month due to these wisdom teeth so we’ll see how it all plays out.) But man, they are going to have everything! From some of my favorite chefs, to hands on activities for everyone that attends! This is sure to be an event to remember! Its all going down April 22-24th and its not too late to get your tickets! Find out more HERE!

Kwestival

If you can’t make it to the Austin Food and Wine Festival, fear not – for there is something equally as fun going on right in your own town! On April 23rd at Klyde Warren Park, different neighborhoods in DFW will be set up to give you a test of their ‘hood’. Its basically one big pop-up with tons of vendors and artists showing their D-town pride!

One of my friends, Janna from Barre in your Bedroom, will be set up in the Lakewood neighborhood. She’ll be doing 5-Minute Moves demos and having different challenges for prizes! She will also have cookies and raffle prizes (BIYB tank, water bottles, and one-month subscriptions to her site)! You know I’ll be there!!

  • My birthday is May 27th.  Okay, that’s not really an event, but its a great day to celebrate!!

  1. I’m so glad I made it to Wanderlust, and I’m sad I missed Kwestival! There are so many great events going on now that it’s finally starting to feel like spring!
