Barre and Bites at the Reunion Tower was by far one of the best events I’ve ever been to – and I planned it! My GREAT friend Janna, of Barre in Your Bedroom, and I have been planning this event for months and it came together perfectly. Before I get into the details of the event, I want to give a huge THANK YOU to our sponsors, volunteers, and guests! We couldn’t have done this without every single one of you and we’re SO proud of the outcome!
If you’re not familiar with Barre and Bites, we created it to bring charitable fitness events to DFW. Janna and I are both passionate about helping people, so a portion of the proceeds from each of our events goes to a non-profit of our choosing. For this event, we chose to donate to the Cancer Foundation for Life. This organization is amazing because they understand and teach about the relationship between cancer and exercise. At the beginning of our event, we brought up one of the passionate souls who works for CFL, as well as one of the patience. They both explained how important this organization was to them and that definitely kicked off our event!
After the inspirational message from those ladies, Janna began the workout! The barre class lasted an hour and everyone killed it! Everyone looked so strong and was able to keep up with the intense workout. Afterwards I heard a few “I’m not going to be able to walk tomorrow”‘s but other than that everyone had great things to say!
Right after the workout, we congratulated everyone on a job well done the best way we know how – with champagne! It was well deserved after all the hard work they put out!
As everyone was sipping their champagne, Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty brought out some tasty bites for everyone to nom on. I mean, you can’t have Barre and Bites without the bites! The food was amazing and I couldn’t help but giggle at all the hungry ladies waiting by the door where the trays were coming out at for first dips!
While eating and sipping on drinks, everyone headed over to the reception area where all of our sponsors had fun treats for them! Our official sponsor, Hollie Watman, set up a pop-up shop with gorgeous activewear! They even gave away a full outfit to one of our raffle winners, Kenya from Texas Pearls Blog!
In addition to shopping with Hollie Watman, everyone got the chance to get their braids done by Drybar and manis by MiniLuxe! I mean, who doesn’t love a little pampering after a tough workout. And if they had some tension afterwards, they could head over to Riviera Spa where they could enjoy a relaxing chair massage!
In addition to all of the pampering, we had Muscle Milk, High Brew, and Kize out to give everyone some healthy treats to take with them!
Aaaand because we’re OBSESSED with their cute and sassy tops, Forest Ink came out and shared their line with everyone as well!
We were especially excited to have the inspiring speaker behind Taplin Health join us and share her story while signing copies to her book, Be Wise.
Of course, no event of mine is complete without swag and giveaways! In addition to the grand prize Janna and I created, we had products donated from Sweat Cosmetics and Wild Arrow for the giveaway!
Look at this gorgeous yoga mat one of our winners won from Wild Arrow!
One lucky winner won this set from Sweat Cosmetics:
Everyone received this AWESOME swag bag! Huge thanks to Beauty by Earth for throwing in those amazing facials and chapsticks! My skin appreciates it. Nuun also gave everyone some of their awesome tablets. I’m seriously obsessed with their energy tablets! So tasty and perfect for my pre-workout drink!
Wooooh! That was a long post, but those are ALLL the things we had going on at Barre and Bites! So much fun and we couldn’t have done it without the Reunion Tower giving us their space to hold the event. That venue is gorgeous and gives you the BEST views of Dallas. It seriously doesn’t get any better! This night was perfect and we can’t WAIT until the next one!
