Popping champagne bottles with your girlfriends. Eating gourmet food like its going out of style. Dressing in the trendiest outfits just to be seen. These are just a few things we do to be a little fancy. But being fancy doesn’t mean you always have to break the bank!
Sometimes our budget doesn’t allow us to be as loose in the pockets as we’d like to be. Luckily, that doesn’t mean we have to stop being our bougie selves! While I need to splurge every once in a while, I love that I can still live an embellished life while saving money.
In this new series, Bougie On A Budget, I’m gonna be sharing ways that I live it up without going broke! This week, I’m dishing on how you can have A Lavish Night In.
Last night, I had my friend Jacque over so we could be super fancy together. I provided the food and she provided the wine. Splitting up the items that you provide is one of the ways to obtain your frugal posh-ness. We decided to indulge in some rosé and a meat and cheese board!
My blogging’ buddy Jacque Amadi brought over some sweet Roseate, and I cut up some tasty bites to go along with it! I bought some reserved white cheddar cheese and smoked gouda, as well as some hard salami and turkey from Target. I paired it with a small salad with arugula, spinach, and feta cheese. Of course, I also had to have berries (of the blue variety) and crackers! It was delicious! All together I spent less than $20 for the meat and cheese, plus I still have over half of what I purchased left for another night.
Yay for a midnight snack!!
We sat around watching ratchet TV shows and talking about our blogs. I always love hanging out with my blogging buddies because I tend to leave with some great ideas. Plus, who doesn’t love sitting around with their girlfriends while eating (well photographed) snacks and sipping wine out of champagne glasses?
