Dallas, if there’s one event you simply have to make room for every year, it’s Chefs for Farmers. This food and wine festival is hands-down my favorite of all time. I mean, where else can you have some of the most fire bites and sips from top chefs?

One of the event’s shining stars was Veroni, the leading Italian charcuterie brand in the U.S. They set up an incredible space in the Veroni Garden, filled with Italian food galore. Their charcuterie aperitivos were freaking delicious – the perfect start to a day of culinary adventure. Veroni’s attention to detail and authentic Italian flavors added a whole new layer to this year’s experience.
Best Bites of the Day
I had the pleasure of trying so many unique and flavorful dishes. Here’s a look at some of my favorites:
- Bonnell’s Restaurant Group: Their beef short rib was absolutely tender and packed with rich flavor. It was one of those bites that just melts in your mouth.

- Red Maple Catering: The smoked pork belly bao bun was a little bite of heaven. Smoky, tender, and perfectly balanced in that fluffy bao bun.

- Don Artemio Mexican Heritage: Their cabrito al pastor was as bold and delicious as it sounds, with spices that instantly took me to a whole other place.
- Quarter Acre: The kingfish ceviche was fresh and light, with just the right amount of zing. This one was a perfect palate refresher between some of the heartier bites.

- Benoit NYC: Their sweet potato and pear composition had this beautiful balance of earthy and sweet flavors. It was almost like dessert but with a unique twist that kept me going back for more.

- Colorado Lamb Merge: This lamb sausage was juicy and packed with spice. I love lamb, so this was a highlight for me!
- Duchess: Crab and creamed corn Frito pie? Say less. It was creamy, comforting, and so Dallas – I could’ve had five more!
- RJ at Georgie: He served up a butter-poached oyster and a cacao e Pepe churro that totally blew me away. The oyster was melt-in-your-mouth perfect, and the churro had just the right blend of savory and sweet.

I left with a full belly, a full heart, and already counting down the days until next year. If you love food, wine, and good vibes, Chefs for Farmers is the event you need to bookmark – it never disappoints.
