People are always asking me how I find out about all of the events I attend in DFW. Well honestly, most of them I find randomly browsing the internet, but I am always happy to spread the word on fun events! That’s why I am really excited to start this new series, “Try Something New.”
In this section of my blog, you’ll find events, date ideas, and just all-around interesting things that you can do that you may not have done before! From fitness classes to shopping events, I’m gonna include all kinds of things to keep you busy and make your day a little more interesting. I’ll try to post them as soon as possible, but occasionally, there may be some last minute things pop up! (This is where being subscribed to my newsletter will come in handy)
The Ken Davis Chorale Announces First Concert of 2016
January 16th at 3:00 PM
If you’re into singing groups as much as I am, you’re going to love this talented group. The chorus is directed by Dr. Kenneth Davis, whose choirs have been on Good Morning America and The Today Show! How impressive is that? The best part is that the tickets are only $20 for adults, $10 for seniors, and $5 for students. If you purchase your tickets ahead of time on their website, you can snag them for only $15 for adults. Prepare your clappers!

Artists for Animals
February 13th at 7:00 PM
So a photographer, a musician, and a puppy walk into a bar…..Okay, so I don’t actually have a joke to follow that with, but I do have an amazing event for a cause to throw at you! Artists for Animals is having a multi-media concert at Level Two in the Dallas Design District! The event will support the animal rescue charities in North Texas and will feature music by Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s Principal Oboe, Erin Hannigin. Combine that with dog and cat photography, as well as videography by Berg and other artists, and you have yourself an upbeat, playful experience! Yay for an event that highlights the beauty of rescued pets!
The doors will open at 7:00 so that attendees can view and big on the artwork while sipping on cat-themed and dog-themed cocktails (all while enjoying the sounds of the Young Strings musical group). They will be serving wine, desserts, and coffee during intermission and immediately following the show.
Single tickets are $50 each. Table seats are $100 each. You can purchase tickets here: http://artistsforanimalstx.com/buy-tickets/. Parking at Level Two is free. 100% of the proceeds of Artists for Animals go directly to Operation Kindness to help shelter pets find homes.

Tickets are $30 each or $50 for a couple. You can buy them at the front door or online. It starts at 6pm at The Claridge (3510 Turtle Creek Blvd, Dallas 75219).
