This past weekend was one for the books! Between happy hours, party boats, night clubs, and tea parties I definitely enjoyed myself. I got to see, and meet, some amazing friends and hang out with some family (that I should have seen waaay before this weekend).
Friday.
Friday night I went to Parliament with my new blogger friend, Krystal! Its a tiny, yet fancy, bar in Uptown Dallas that specializes in specialty cocktails. They have an extensive list of liquor spirits and a happy hour menu that one could only dream of! My favorite was the Mint Julep which was served in a cold tin glass and looked like a fancy, alcoholic snow cone. In addition to this strong glass of heaven, which is pictured below, I shared a cheese plate and a pizza with Krystal. I don’t remember the name of the pizza, but I can tell you its the one with fried capers and it was delicious!
Saturday.
Saturday, I celebrate my cousin’s 40th birthday with my friend Ashley Nicole! Because he is about to take a step over the hill, he did it up and rented a party boat at Lake Grapevine. While I promised not to give too many details on the boat party (what happens on the boat, stays on the boat), I can say that we had a blast! From jumping off the second level (which I did NOT partake in), to floating on a raft-like flotation device behind it, the boat trip was rather impressing. Plus, I got to show off my new high-waisted bathing suit from Target!
Later that night, we went to the Glass Cactus and danced all night to a local cover band! It was a ton of fun and definitely a night to not remember.
Sunday.
Sunday was certainly a day of rest. After all the craziness from Saturday, I was pooped! I rested all day until later that afternoon when I had to pry myself out of bed to attend a tea party with my friend Jacque.
Unlike most tea parties, this was not a “sit around the table and gossip” affair. It was an event for the Dallas Blogger Collective held at The Vintage House, an adorable shop in Carrolton, TX.
The Vintage House is an adorable pink house that was built in the year 1900. It has been standing on tree stumps ever since, and is the perfect place for a girly girl like me. They have Vera Bradley, jewelry, candles, fancy laundry detergent and a ton of other “essentials”.
A few of my favorite things in the pink house included the decorations! This doll that was serving serious face…
…and this wall with pictures for days!
But my favorite thing of all was hanging out with these amazing bloggers!
After the event, Jacque and I went to Ramen Hakata. Their food was DELICIOUS!
We both ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen and shared an order of Gyoza!
It was the perfect end to a fun-filled weekend!!
