Getting back on track is no easy task. I’ve fallen off the wagon plenty of times after a ton of hard work. I workout and eat healthy, to the point that I start seeing results. Then, one day, I have a slip up and its like I forgot everything it took me to get to the point I was at. Part of me was feeling guilty for my slip up, while the other part was just afraid to start back only to slip up again. Well, I have learned that those slip ups are okay and the most important thing is that I GET BACK ON TRACK! Here are my tips to getting back into the groove of things.

  • Meal prep! Meal prep! Meal prep!

I know we hear this a million times, and constantly see the flood of pictures on Instagram, but meal prepping really is an important part of getting back on track. Not only does it make it easier to make good choices, but it gets me in the mindset of starting my week of right. Not to mention it helps my save money, which brings me to my next point.

  • Reward yourself (with something other than food)!

This part can be really fun! One thing I like to do is put a dollar in my piggy bank (yes, I still have a piggy bank) every day that I get in a workout. Then, when I have enough saved, I’ll go buy myself a new pair of tennis shoes or a super cute new workout outfit, like my Katie K Active leggings pictured below! (PS. These are 50% off right now. • Your planner is your new best friend!

Not only can you use it to schedule your workouts, but you can use it to keep up with the progress you’re making! Looking at the weight you lost in the last month can be a huge motivator for the next one! Plus, you can see what workouts you did to get that weight loss. You could even take it up a notch and write down your meals! That way you can remember which ones you loved in case you need some inspiration in the future.

  • Like Nike says, JUST DO IT!

This one is by far, the most important tip. It’s also the toughest one, at times. Getting started/motivated can be a little hard. But, I’ve never regretted a workout and I’ve never wished I could “un-eat” a healthy meal! Just go for it and start taking steps to your healthy life!
